Everyone Hates Marketers: Repurposing Your Best Work (ft. Louis Grenier)

SHOW NOTES: Louis Grenier is a marketing consultant whose stated mission is to “fight marketing bullshit,” which he does with his company Everyone Hates Marketers, and a podcast by the same name. After three years and 200 interview-style podcast episodes, Louis realized he was forgetting who his guests were even five episodes ago. So in March 2021, he decided to refresh himself, and his show.  New episodes are shorter, in monologue format, and focus around one marketing lesson, rather than on a guest. In these episodes, Grenier re-packages clips from his past interview episodes and cites examples from books and other sources. It really works for the listener, even if you never heard the original interviews. And it’s working for Louis, as a way to showcase his own marketing know-how. Among other topics, Louis and Jay discuss developing a personal brand and host persona, and how to make your podcast stand out in a crowded field.  EXPLORE THE SHOW Visit 3clipspodcast.com for all episodes of the show.  LEARN MORE ABOUT 3 CLIPS HOST JAY ACUNZO Subscribe to his newsletter, explore his course for podcasters, or watch and listen to all of Jay’s shows and projects at jayacunzo.com  LEARN MORE ABOUT CASTOS 3 Clips is a Castos Original Series. Forever is a Long Time: Creating with Sensitivity (ft. Ian Coss)

The World needs more sensitive creators. Content that moves the world, moves listeners and make things better. And you know what? That doesn’t have to come in the form of some epic narrative. It can be stories from daily life. The seemingly innocuous details of our day-to-day can provide inspiration. Enter Ian Coss. For this episode he and Jay break down his five part series, Forever is a Long Time. Ian explores the topic of marriage by interviewing members of his family who are divorced, which is most of them. These candid and poignant conversation with his relatives are both deeply personal and relatable at the same time. Ian is an award winning musician, podcaster and sound designer who has worked with well known outlets like PRX, and the nationally syndicated radio show, The World.
