Show Notes

Louis Grenier is a marketing consultant whose stated mission is to “fight marketing bullshit,” which he does with his company Everyone Hates Marketers, and a podcast by the same name.

After three years and 200 interview-style podcast episodes, Louis realized he was forgetting who his guests were even five episodes ago. So in March 2021, he decided to refresh himself, and his show.

New episodes are shorter, in monologue format, and focus around one marketing lesson, rather than on a guest. In these episodes, Grenier re-packages clips from his past interview episodes and cites examples from books and other sources. It really works for the listener, even if you never heard the original interviews. And it’s working for Louis, as a way to showcase his own marketing know-how. Among other topics, Louis and Jay discuss developing a personal brand and host persona, and how to make your podcast stand out in a crowded field.

Update and an Audience Re-Air

No, this is not a new 3 Clips episode. Since we’re taking a break from producing new episodes, we wanted to share another Castos Original, ‘Audience’. This episode was produced by Stuart Barefoot and features podcast producer Marcus dePaula, a former live audio engineer who spent years touring with national acts like Michelle Branch, Creed and Jars of Clay.
